Discover Barcelona’s Modernist route from a Hummer. Can you imagine yourself on board a powerful limousine, travelling through the historic centre of the Catalan capital and visiting Barcelona’s Modernist monuments? It is undoubtedly an original way to follow the Modernist route and stand out from the ordinary tourist!
The truth is that visiting the Catalan capital without seeing Gaudí’s houses, Park Güell, the Sagrada Família or the incredible Modernist façades of La Rambla and Passeig de Gràcia should be a crime.
But even if you already know the Modernist route, you can experience it again in a way you had never imagined, because travelling around Barcelona on board a Hummer limousine will, we promise, be a completely different experience.
Picture it for a moment: crowds of Japanese tourists taking photos with their latest-generation cameras in front of Gaudí’s La Pedrera, also known as Casa Milà, when suddenly you make your entrance along Passeig de Gràcia on board your Hummer limousine.
It is not hard to imagine that many of those tourists’ cameras will turn from La Pedrera towards the limousine. What’s more, you will be able to admire the curved Modernist façade from the comfort of your vehicle, looking out of the window or the sunroof and, above the tourists’ heads, taking the best photographs of the monument.
Barcelona’s Modernist route in a Hummer
In one afternoon, you can travel through half of Barcelona on board a Hummer limousine, and not just pass in front of La Pedrera. We recommend starting at the port, heading up Paral·lel and along Carrer Nou de la Rambla, close to the lesser-known Palau Güell.
The route continues along La Rambla towards Plaça de Catalunya: La Boqueria, the living statues, the umbrella façade and the square itself. Afterwards, continue up Passeig de Gràcia. First, on the left, you will find Casa Batlló, and further up, Casa Milà.
Do not forget the Gràcia district, with Casa Vicens and Park Güell, or the Eixample, where you will find the Sagrada Família and Casa Calvet. And all of this without worrying about traffic jams or catching the last metro: with the party travelling with you!
